HOW FERTIGATION SAVES WATER

Using existing irrigation lines to deliver water soluble fertilizers and soil amendments is nothing new; it has been around since the 1960’s.  Delivering, or injecting, what the soil and plants actually need is another story.  It takes a back ground in Agronomy to fully understand plant nutrition and soil science, so it is no stretch to say a landscape maintenance company is not using soil and plant science to determine what fertilizer to apply to your turf and landscape areas.  When we add fertilizer or soil amendments to the landscape via fertigation, it is always the nutrition the plant and soil needs based on a soil report.  When you build healthy soils, you get healthy plants.

We have developed many liquid nutrients that create healthier, water retentive soils.  Specially designed surfactants help water penetrate the soil faster and easier, reducing stress areas and helping get roots deeper.  Deeper roots mean a larger reservoir for roots to draw water from.  Leaching salts from the soil results in more available water to the roots since they don’t have to fight with the salts to get the water.  Adding our polymer to the soil via fertigation, reduces leaching, reduces evaporational losses, keeps nutrients in the soil profile, and stores water around the roots.  Creating a healthy, stress free environment for plants to grow in helps them to thrive, expand their root system and create healthier canopy’s.  Your landscape plants then become more efficient at extracting nutrients and water from the soil. When combine with our soil science and fertigation, you spend a whole lot less on water.
